THE MECHANISM

Real effort becomes visible progress.

Log the work, let FitBound apply its current validation rules, and see rewards reflected across your character.

01

Move

Choose a plan or pick your own exercises, then train. The active session tracks sets, load, reps, rest, and RPE as you go, and keeps working if your connection drops.

02

Log

Finish the session and submit it. Nothing is scored until it's submitted — you can edit sets freely while a workout is in progress.

03

Verify

Submitted sessions move through FitBound's current validation rules before they count. This is an evolving integrity system, not a guarantee that every entry is independently observed.

04

Progress

Verified effort becomes XP, contributes to your five attributes, and can complete quests. Rewards are capped and server-authoritative, not something a client app can inflate.

05

Build

Persistent progress carries forward — levels, attributes, streaks, Forge Coins, and the inventory/crafting foundations in the current prototype.

What “verification” actually means today

FitBound doesn't claim to independently observe every rep. The current system applies server-side rules to submitted sessions — checking things like plausible timing and structure — before marking effort as verified. Deeper integrity hardening and abuse resistance are ongoing, production-gated work.

A workout can also sit in a pending state (for example, if it was logged offline and hasn't synced yet). Pending sessions are visibly labeled in the app and are not silently discarded.

In development

Attributes, in plain language

Verified training feeds five attributes: Strength, Agility, Stamina, Vitality, and Discipline. Each reflects a different pattern of consistent effort rather than a single workout. Read more on the Progression page.

Rest, streaks, and fairness

FitBound is built to reward consistency, not to punish rest. Streak language avoids guilt or loss-framing, and rewardable effort is capped server-side so the system doesn't incentivize unsafe training volume.

Nutrition and consistency

Manual calorie, macro, and water logging contribute to the same consistency story as workouts. See the Nutrition page for exactly what's current versus planned there.
